The Touchless Tan

The Touchless Tan introduces a new concept in the wellness and beauty space—an entirely self-serve tanning experience using advanced automated machines. Our design approach focused on elevating this innovative service through a considered, brand-aligned interior experience that balances functionality with calm, sensory immersion.

Upon entry, customers are welcomed into a softly lit reception and waiting area, defined by a lighter, more serene palette with a soft curved wall that sets a welcoming tone, offering moments of calm and comfort.

The real transition begins in the passageway—a deliberate design feature symbolising the journey toward transformation. Visible from the entry, the timber framed corridor draws users in with its moody, immersive atmosphere. Walls and ceilings are washed in a rich, deep tan hue, evoking warmth and grounding. Recessed neon lighting subtly guides movement while a pebble-edged detail along the floor adds texture and tactility.

Inside the treatment rooms, the same earthy palette continues, designed to feel both grounding and restorative. The terrazzo flooring adds an element of sophistication, while warm timber cabinetry and mosaic feature tiles introduce richness and craftsmanship. Every element—from custom pebble-look wall lights to thoughtfully placed hooks and mirrors—was carefully selected to enhance the experience and align with the client’s brand identity.

This space is more than functional—it’s a sensory journey that reflects the evolving expectations of wellness design: intuitive, atmospheric, and self-led.
