Bachelor of Arts (Interior Architecture) hons

It only seemed natural for me to become an Interior Designer. I have always loved architecture and the building industry. Even as a child I would follow my Dad who was a builder around his building sites and help him in his workshop on his tools. I have always been creative, and while others played sport, I drew and focused on art, so having a creative career was an easy decision for me.

When I graduated from high school I followed onto Curtin University where I achieved a degree in BA (Interior Architecture) graduating with honours.

Before starting my own successful Perth based design practise in 2003, I spent three years working in Sydney gaining a deep level of experience in retail and hospitality design.

I love solving problems and helping people. For me interior design is all about coming up with the best solution while being creative at the same time. I believe that great design benefits everyone. It helps change the way people perceive their environment, how they live, work and interact.

I spend extensive time researching the world’s creative stage, keeping updated with the latest trends and products. With this knowledge and industry experience, I am able to produce beautiful long lasting designs for the hundreds of satisfied clients I have worked with over the last 19 years.

While I am not designing, I am mother to two beautiful, active kids, Xavier and Georgia. I love to re-charge at yoga or go on long hikes in the middle of the bush close to where I grew up.

Interior Designer
Interior Design Advanced Diploma

Hi, I’m Clara — originally from Germany, where I grew up surrounded by creativity, culture, and ever-evolving spaces that sparked my curiosity for interiors early on. I’ve always been drawn to the way thoughtful design can transform the way we live, and throughout school, I focused heavily on art, where I discovered a passion for visual storytelling and composition.

With a love for travel and a desire to expand my horizons, I moved to Australia to study interior design, completing two qualifications at TAFE. My design philosophy centres on longevity, simplicity, and elegance — always with the aim of enhancing the everyday through thoughtful, innovative solutions.

Having travelled widely across Europe from a young age, I was exposed to a mix of old-world charm and diverse cultures, which continues to influence my design approach. Blending that with the fresh, contemporary feel of Perth has helped shape a unique perspective I bring to each project.
